Rescue Wood. Build Rhythm. Restore Lives.

We recover surplus wood from local partners, craft it into hand‑made cajón drums in inclusive workshops, and donate instruments to classrooms and community circles. Each build trains people in recovery and invites our community to learn, heal, and connect through rhythm.

What this means:
  • Rescue Wood — partner with woodshops to divert usable boards and off‑cuts from waste.
  • Build Rhythm — teach hands‑on crafting and tuning; every instrument gains a voice.
  • Restore Lives — donate cajóns and host gentle rhythm moments in schools and care spaces.
Year‑one targets: ≥1,500 kg wood diverted • ≥300 cajóns crafted & shared • 500+ volunteer shifts.

I Was Left Behind. Now I Am Rhythm.

I was the off‑cut, the board that didn’t make the plan. Sun and dust settled on my grain until someone lifted me, ran a hand along my edges, and imagined sound where silence had lived.

They planed my scars and squared my corners. Glue and clamps held me steady; patient sanding found the warmth beneath the rough. Inside a simple box they tuned a voice—deep bass at my heart, crisp snap at my rim.

Now I sit in circles and classrooms. When small hands tap my face, the room breathes together. When a trainee finishes my last coat, their shoulders drop: “I made this.” I remind makers and players they matter.

  1. Rescue: We recover surplus boards and off‑cuts from local partners.
  2. Craft: Guided workshops train participants to build quality cajóns.
  3. Share: We donate instruments to schools, care centres, and community groups.
